What is english to me?

English is practically just a language to me, a language that we probably will use in our daily lifes. It is the main language i take in my studies, and it is one of the subjects i loathe. It is a subject that i have to take from now, all the way until the end of my studies. I think that english is just for communication with other people. I think just grasping the basics of english is enough. English is also a period in school where we sit down and listen to what the teacher says, enduring to keep focus which will seem like an interminable forty-five minutes. Even though without english, another language like chinese will simply take over, there would not be much difference. The existence of english will be erased and the next generation will come, knowing nothing of english. English is just a common language, nothing else.
